Ahold to Integrate Operations in Central Europe
AMSTERDAM - Dutch retailer Royal Ahold NV said on Friday it plans to integrate its operations in Central Europe to create a new organization, Ahold Central Europe, Reuters reports.
The new operation will manage over 400 Albert supermarkets and Hypernova hypermarkets in Central Europe with combined sales of about 1.3 billion euros. The integration will start in January and is expected to be completed before the end of 2003, Ahold said in a statement.
