Albertson's Strengthens Corporate Brands Management Team
BOISE, Idaho - Albertson's Inc. announced on Monday that Terry Lee, an experienced food industry executive with strong credentials in private brand development, has joined the company as vice president, corporate brands.
"Terry's appointment reflects Albertson's intensified focus on the development and introduction of innovative private brand programs," said Larry Stablein, executive vice president of marketing and merchandising. "Strengthening the private brand segment of our business is one of the company's critical initiatives for 2002. We are extremely fortunate to have attracted an industry executive with Terry's track record and leadership skills."
From 1996 to 2000 Lee served as vice president, corporate brands, for Safeway, where he was instrumental in the growth of that supermarket chain's private brand program. He has also held senior marketing positions at Del Monte and Basic American Foods. Most recently he served as chief operating officer of Troba Inc., an Internet customer service software company, which was acquired by a British company in the fourth quarter of 2001.
