Another First for Women

LUNA, maker of the Whole Nutrition Bar for Women, has now introduced LUNA Protein, the first women’s high-protein bar made with entirely natural and organic ingredients. Although protein is an essential part of women’s diets, a recent survey conducted by the brand found that almost 50 percent of women aren’t sure if they’re consuming enough of the nutrient. Featuring 12 grams of protein, as well as such other key vitamins and minerals as calcium, iron, folic acid and vitamin D, the satisfying bar contains under 200 calories and is available in three indulgent flavors: Chocolate Peanut Butter, Cookie Dough and Chocolate Cherry Almond. In fact, with its chocolate coating and nougat texture, LUNA protein is closer in consistency to a candy bar than any other item the product line has ever offered, according to the manufacturer, Berkeley, Calif.-based Clif Bar & Co.
