App Helps Grocers Find Hourly Employees
Snagajob has released an app for iOS and Android to meet the needs of grocers seeking to hire candidates for hourly employment. The free app streamlines the job-posting/hiring process by using a smartphone’s or tablet’s video, photo and GPS technology. Employers can now post jobs at no charge via the app’s free trial promotion.
Snagajob permits employers to find and manage applicants on their mobile devices. Using the app, they can manage their account's status and add further postings for multiple locations, access and review applications for each job posting and quickly check their availability and qualifications, find qualified prospects in their area and then reach out by phone or email, and easily rank/sort applicants, “starring” the applicants they want to interview and noting the ones they're not interested in.
Additionally, the app's "Video Apply" feature lets employers view a short clip that candidates can submit with their applications, enabling viewers to gauge the personality fit and enthusiasm of applicants before arranging an interview –- a practice that saves time and energy for job seekers and employers alike.
"In seconds, an employer can reach out, identify the individuals they really want to connect with, schedule an interview through their calendar and arrange to meet," noted Peter Harrison, CEO of Richmond, Va.-based Snagajob. "With so many people across the country still struggling to find employment, the Snagajob app is a simple way to find candidates that match an open position."
Snagajob for iOS can be downloaded on the App Store and for Android on Google Play. A video demo of the app is available online.
