Associated Retail Stores to Improve Supply Chain Visibility With Sales Optimization Software

Associated Retail Stores plans to deploy a new supplier collaboration platform to capture, manage, analyze, and share critical data with its partners, with the goal of improving visibility across its supply chain.

The retailer will use Consumer Driven Sales Optimization (CDSO) platform from Park City, Utah-based Park City Group.

“We selected Park City Group because of the many benefits its solution provides for improving our financial performance and better managing our business,” said Associated Retail Stores president Dave Wirthlin. “Its Scan Based Trading platform is a means to align our wholesaler/grocer operations with the interests of our supplier community. As a result, we look forward to reducing working capital through improved inventory management while enhancing shelf execution and increasing sales with end consumers.”

According to Park City, the platform to be implemented for Associated Retail Stores supports the concept that the future of commerce between the retail trade and consumer package goods suppliers will revolve around scan-based trading.

Salt Lake City-based Associated Retail Stores operates 22 corporate stores operating under four distinct banners and formats: Macey’s, Dan’s, Lin’s and Dick’s Markets.
