Bashas' Launches Discount Prescription Program
CHANDLER, Ariz. -- In an ongoing commitment to the health and well-being of families across Arizona, regional independent Bashas' last week launched a discount prescription program at more than 65 Bashas' and Food City pharmacy locations statewide.
The program allows shoppers to fill prescriptions for more than 300 generic drugs for only $3.99. “Generic medications contain the same active ingredients as their brand-name counterparts and are equally effective, but cost significantly less,” said Dan Milovich, director of pharmacy operations. “Our customers will save both time and money through this new offering, which will help them to live better, healthier lives.”
The discount prescription drug program will cover commonly prescribed doses of generic medications up to a 30-day supply used to treat conditions including allergies, antibiotics, arthritis, asthma, cholesterol, diabetes, gastrointestinal problems, glaucoma, heart health, mental health, skin conditions, thyroid conditions, and viruses.
Consumers are eligible for this program whether or not they have any prescription-drug coverage through their employers, are covered by Medicare, or any other plan.
To promote the program, Bashas’ is offering a $20 grocery certificate to shoppers the first time they transfers or fills a new prescription under the program. Customers will also receive 10 percent off their grocery bill for every fifth prescription filled.
Other benefits and services offered at Bashas’ and Food City pharmacy locations include special discounts on brand name medications with your Thank You Card, printouts for flexible spending accounts or yearly tax deductions, pharmacist consulting, a professional compounding pharmacy for hard-to-find prescriptions, and ability to bill workers compensation prescriptions for customers at no cost.
Bashas’ operates160 locations throughout Arizona.
