BGC Holds Facebook Photo Contest

In honor of the company’s 85th anniversary, Brookshire Grocery Co. (BGC) has launched a new promotion entitled “yourpics for yourpoints: 85th Anniversary Edition,” in which customers are encouraged to enter a photo contest via a custom app on Brookshire’s Facebook page.

Customers are asked to submit a photo via Facebook that represents the grocer’s “Share Meals. Share Life” tagline. Through Sept. 24, each customer who submits a photo will earn 85 yourpoints.

Customers may vote on their favorite photo through Oct. 1, and the photo with the most votes by the end of the contest will win a grand prize of 5,000 yourpoints.

yourpoints may be earned and redeemed for a 5 percent grocery discount at all participating Brookshire’s Food Stores. Fuel discounts are redeemable at participating Brookshire’s Food Stores, Express Lanes, Zippy B, Super 1 Foods or Fresh by Brookshire’s fuel centers.

Tyler, Texas-based BGC operates 153 stores in three states -- Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas -- with three distribution centers and seven manufacturing facilities.
