Big Y Opens Latest Table & Vine Location

Big Y World Class Markets has opened its fourth Table & Vine Fine Wines, Spirits and Beer location, within a Big Y in Wilbraham, Mass. The store-within-a-store currently features 200 varieties of wine, 125 types of liquor, and 125 beers, including craft and microbrews.

Included in Table & Vine's local craft beer offerings are the grocer’s specially brewed 22-ounce bottled beers, made in partnership with Berkshire Brewing Co., of South Deerfield, Mass. Available at all Table & Vine locations in Massachusetts and all Big Y stores in Connecticut, these items reference well-known area landmarks with names like Mount Greylock Porter, Avery Point Amber Ale and River Valley I.P.A

Next month, Big Y plans to triple the Wilbraham Table & Vine's offerings to better meet the needs of the area, adding 2,850 additional square feet to house more than 1,000 wines, 500 beers and 500 select spirits, as well as chilled beer, wine and champagne.

D’Amour.

In addition to the flagship 38,000-square-foot Table & Vine location in West Springfield, Mass., Big Y stores in Northampton and Greenfield, Mass., also feature the concept, which began as a single Northampton, Mass., establishment opened in 1960 called Big Y Liquors.

Springfield, Mass.-based Big Y, one of the largest independently owned supermarket chains in New England, operates 63 stores in Connecticut and Massachusetts, with more than 10,000 employees.
