Brand Management Company Taps Ex-Winn-Dixie Vet
SAN DIEGO -- Who's Your Daddy, Inc., a brand management company based here, said Friday that it has hired retail industry veteran Ronald Schuurman to be its national chain account manager.
Schuurman was previously pricing and assortment manager for Jacksonville, Fla.-based Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc., where he oversaw $350 million in annual sales.
During Schuurman's time at Winn-Dixie, the southeast regional grocer experienced a 5.4 percent increase in gross margins, opened 62 stores in three states under the Save-Rite banner, came up with the concept of Winnie-Dixie's price impact stores, and developed a 99-cent store-within-a-store, driving an additional $10 million of incremental sales.
Before joining Winn-Dixie, Schuurman served for over 22 years in a variety of operational and managerial positions at Kroger division Smiths Food & Drug.
Who's Your Daddy focuses on the marketing, production, and distribution of the Who's Your Daddy "King of Energy" line of beverages for U.S. energy drink market. The company holds trademarks for a variety of products worldwide.
