Buehler’s Debuts Kitchen Table, Chef’s Kitchen Concepts
Buehler’s Milltown store in Wooster, Ohio, boasts the company’s new foodservice concepts - a Chef’s Kitchen prepared foods counter and Kitchen Table casual dining area.
The Chef’s Kitchen features meals made-to-order, including hand-stretched, brick oven baked pizza (whole or by the slice), signature sandwiches featuring fresh ingredients and fresh-baked bread from the in-store bakery, and wok-fired Chinese foods. Entrees like Asiago chicken, ribs and pulled pork also are offered as well as side dishes such as loaded twice baked potatoes and broccoli slaw. In-store sushi chefs also roll sushi by hand each day.
The grocer's Kitchen Table allows customers to enjoy their meals in the in-store dining area, where a self-service beverage station includes a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine featuring 100 different flavors and Scenic River Coffee varieties, as well as several bottled beverage options.
“The key is the customer – customers are in control,” said Jack Kerby, Buehler’s Wooster Milltown store manager. “Unlike traditional restaurants, you select the amount of food you want (so you’re not paying for food you don’t want), and there’s no tipping. What a value!”
Buehler’s Milltown store also recently unveiled its Big Beer Experience, a taproom featuring eight beers on tap and selling more than 800 varieties. The store’s remodel is almost complete with a grand opening scheduled for Nov. 5.
