Cargill Unveils New $29M Feed Mill in Hedrick, Iowa

Cargill is hosting a dedication event on Tuesday, May 12 in honor of its new $29 million, 15-story feed mill located in Hedrick, Iowa.

The new feed mill will load and unload approximately 100 trucks daily, and annually convert about 6 million bushels of locally grown corn to feed for farms in a radius that averages 35 miles. 

The new facility, along with its recently-completed $25 million pork processing facility in Ottumwa, represents a nearly $60 million investment in the region by Cargill Pork.

“This is a great day for Hedrick and Ottumwa, the farmers who supply us hogs for pork, Cargill and our employees,” said Jane Fallon, Cargill Pork general manager. 

"These projects represent our commitment to the state’s agricultural economy," Fallon added, "and illustrate our long heritage for helping communities and farmers to thrive while enhancing our ongoing efforts to provide high-quality protein to nourish millions of Americans and consumers around the world."
