Construction Starts On 12th Redner's Quick Shoppe
READING, Pa. -- The permits have been approved and ground has been broken on the first Schuylkill County Quick Shoppe, operated by Redner's Warehouse Markets based here.
The newest edition to the Redner's Quick Shoppe family will be located at the Gold Star Shopping Plaza in Shenandoah, adjacent to Redner's existing warehouse supermarket. The company's 12th Quick Shoppe is expected to be open for business by July.
The 2,400-square-foot store, which will feature seven fuel pumps contained within a self-service gasoline island, will be open 24-hours a day. Each pump will have pay-at-the-pump features designed to accept both debit and credit card payments.
A new feature to this store will be a diesel fuel option, which was a highly requested amenity by the local community. The topic of providing a diesel pump was requested at township and zoning meetings because of the lack of a diesel fuel pump in the surrounding area.
"This is a new addition for our Quick Shoppes," said Richard Redner, president of Redner's Markets. "We had several requests to sell diesel at this store and are excited to be able to provide the community with their request. This addition will save travel time and money for those currently driving to other areas for diesel," Redner noted.
In addition to fuel services, the Quick Shoppe will offer online Pennsylvania lottery purchases and a full line of convenience grocery and non-food items. Patrons will be able to purchase freshly ground New England coffee products, fountain soda, Slush Puppy frozen drinks, hand dipped ice cream, water ice and over 100 bottled and canned beverages. Consumers will also be able to choose from a variety of prepared sandwiches and meal options as well.
Redner's operates 40 Warehouse Markets and 11 Quick Shoppes throughout Eastern Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland.
