Nissin has launched its first vegetarian product under the Cup Noodles line of instant noodles. Very Veggie Soy Sauce Flavor is said to be the first-ever instant noodle cup containing one full serving of vegetables, and was made to appeal to consumers' appetite for savory foods. Made after numerous consumer requests, it features a full serving of vegetables with a mix of edamame, carrots, bok choy and green beans. Each 2.82-ounce shelf-stable cup retails for a suggested 99 cents.
