Dannon Visits Supermarkets on its Cross-Country Drive to End Hunger

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Call it a road trip for hunger relief. In a partnership with America's Second Harvest, Dannon is making stops at Ralphs, Meijer, Acme, and other supermarkets in its Drive to End Hunger cross-country tour.

The tour kicked off in July in Southern California, and its end destination is New England. Along the way, Dannon is raising charitable donations that will provide approximately 400,000 meals for hungry children and their families. When shoppers at each tour stop purchase a Dannon product, a donation is made from Dannon to food banks in the local area. Participating shoppers can help fill a custom-designed Dannon Drive to End Hunger truck with empty Dannon yogurt cups as a symbol of the donations made with their purchase. Each participating shopper also receives a Dannon-branded key chain.

The tour is also being supported at participating retail grocery accounts with chain-wide ads and point of sale displays. It concludes in October.
