All-natural Duke’s Small Batch Smoked Meats from Boulder, Colo.-based Thanasi Foods LLC are named for the company’s president and founder, Justin “Duke” Havlick. Co-branded varieties include beef jerky, brisket and steak strips flavored with Frank’s Redhot sauce, Kikkoman soy sauce, Stubb’s barbecue sauce and Jim Beam bourbon. Due at retail in December, the product will be available in in 8-count cases, clip strips and a wide variety of display configurations, and marketing support in 2013 will include on-pack promotions, product sampling and events, consumer loyalty programs, social media, local and regional event sponsorship, and an outdoor and radio campaign. A 3-ounce to 4.5-ounce resealable bag that displays flavor and steak cut will retail for a suggested $6.49.
