Food 4 Less Opens First Fuel Center
LOS ANGELES - Price-impact supermarket chain Food 4 Less, a division of The Kroger Co., has announced the opening of its first Fuel Center at one of its stores in the San Fernando Valley community of North Hills. The company said more fuel stations are planned in the next 24 months.
"We are excited to open our first Food 4 Less Fuel Center in North Hills," said Dave Hirz, president of Food 4 Less Stores. "We know our customers are busy, and we believe our new Fuel Center provides one more convenience to the one-stop-shopping experience at our North Hills Food 4 Less store."
The new Food 4 Less Fuel Center features five fuel pumps that allow up to 10 customers at one time to fuel their vehicles. Customers may also purchase items such as ice, soft drinks, tobacco products, lottery and lotto tickets, phone cards, candy, chewing gum and automotive products.
The new Food 4 Less Fuel Center is open 24 hours a day. It is staffed from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and accepts debit or credit card purchases at the pump from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Food 4 Less operates 114 price-impact supermarkets under the Food 4 Less banner in Southern California and Southern Nevada, and Foods Co in Central and Northern California, from its headquarters in Los Angeles. Parent company Kroger operates more than 300 fuel centers in its divisions throughout the country.
