Food Lion Names V.P.-Business Strategy and Analytics
SALISBURY, N.C. -- Food Lion, LLC here has appointed Charles Davis v.p. of business strategy and analytics. Reporting to Mike Haaf, s.v.p. of sales, marketing, and business strategy, Davis will be responsible for research, analytics, and business strategy within the company.
In his most recent position, director of pricing, Davis determined and carried out pricing strategy. On joining Food Lion in April 2004 he served as director of business strategy and analytics, in which capacity he was "instrumental in the company's customer segmentation work," according to the chain.
Before coming to Food Lion, Davis was v.p. of marketing and product development at PRG-Schultz.
Delhaize subsidiary Food Lion operates over 1,200 supermarkets, either directly or through affiliated entities, under the Food Lion, Bloom, Bottom Dollar Food, Harveys and Reid's banners. Food Lion employs about 73,000 associates in 11 Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states.
