FreshDirect Offering Spring Holiday Dishes
LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y. -- With Easter and Passover fast approaching in mid-April, FreshDirect, based here, plans to roll out special holiday fresh meal menus to allow its customers "stress-free" eating and entertaining.
The prepared foods in the online grocer's Passover Meal Makers menu include Farm-Raised Dill-Salmon, Coriander-Sage Cornish Hen, and Beef Brisket with Gravy. Each meal comes complete with traditional favorite Matzo Ball Soup and the customer's choice of two side dishes and a dessert, among them Glazed Baby Carrots, Kugel, Potato Pancakes, and Flourless Chocolate Cake.
The Easter Meal Makers consists of such entrees as Farm-Raised Dill-Salmon, Brown Sugar-Glazed Ham, and Leg of Lamb Au Jus. Side dish and dessert choices include Shrimp Cocktail Platter, European Cheese Plate, Potato Gratin, Haricot Vert with Bacon, Carrot Cake, and Key Lime Tart.
Meals serve either from four to six or from six to eight, and prices range from $79.99 to $139.99.
FreshDirect spokeswoman Samantha Freeman told Progressive Grocer that the holiday menu selections were already on the company's Web site, and should remain there through April. She added that the meals were available in all of FreshDirect's delivery zones.
