FreshDirect Standardizes on Software to Bolster Business Growth

LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y. -- Online grocer FreshDirect here is standardizing on Tidal Enterprise Scheduler from Palo Alto, Calif.-based Tidal Software for automation of its business intelligence processes. FreshDirect's rapidly growing business necessitates significant, ongoing analysis of the business to help manage operations.

Maintaining current and reliable information that drives decisions for its supply chain, operations, and marketing promotions requires coordination between FreshDirect and its vendors and service providers. Tidal's job scheduler automates these processes, ensuring that such information is up-to-date and available when needed.

"Tidal was the only solution that met our needs," noted FreshDirect manager of systems engineering Robert Reilly in a statement. "We needed an automation solution that could drive processing through complete cycles across both our own and third-party data centers. It needed to support operation schedules with dependencies across all our applications, our data warehousing and BI products, LINUX, and ftp/sftp. We needed a centralized solution, viewable from the Web, with instant visibility into all issues and the ability to recover from any point of system failure."
