Frey Retiring from Kroger's Turkey Hill Dairy

Quintin Frey, president of Kroger-owned Turkey Hill Dairy, has announced his retirement from the company.

The grandson of dairy founder Armor Frey, Quintin Frey began his career in 1980 as a management trainee. He served in a variety of leadership roles before being promoted to president in 1991. Conestoga, Pa.-based Turkey Hill, which was sold to Kroger's Dillons subsidiary in 1985, is known for its ice cream and chilled bottled teas.

"Quintin has been a great ambassador for the Turkey Hill brand and an important part of the Kroger leadership team," said David B. Dillon, Kroger chairman and CEO. "The Kroger family extends our thanks and best wishes to Quintin and his family."

During Frey's 22 years as president, Turkey Hill tripled in size and profitability and now sells products in 49 states, a dozen countries and three continents.
