Giant-Carlisle Names SVP of Grocery Merchandising
Giant Food Stores, LLC has promoted Dan Glei to the newly created position of SVP of grocery merchandising. His most recent position was VP of grocery. In his new role, Glei will report to EVP of format & merchandising Casper Meijer.
A veteran of the consumer packaged goods, wholesaling and retail grocery industries, Glei joined Giant in 2006 as VP of grocery strategy.
Glei will be responsible for the strategic direction for sales and merchandising of center store, frozen and dairy at Giant.
A division of Ahold USA, Carlisle, Pa.-based Giant operates stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia under the Giant Food Stores, Martin's Food Markets and FoodSource banners.
