Giant Eagle Market District Bows Personal Shopping

Giant Eagle Market District stores in Robinson Township, Pa. and Columbus, Ohio, rolled out a new personal shopping service this week that enables customers to order groceries online and pick them up in front of the store.

The service is now available on the Market District website, which enables customers to search by food item, brand and price. Market District staff members will select items from customers’ lists, which will be available for pick-up at a designated curbside lane for motorists in the front of the store. Products are available for the same price as on store shelves.

The fee for the new curbside express service is $4.95, which is waived for a customer's first order. More information about the Pittsburgh-based grocery chain's latest offering can is explained in more detail on its website.

Giant Eagle, which has five Market District locations in the southwestern Pennsylvania region and Columbus, Ohio, has 175 corporate and 54 independently owned and operated supermarkets in addition to 168 fuel and convenience stores throughout western Pennsylvania, Ohio, north central West Virginia and Maryland.
