Giant-Landover/Stop & Shop Lower Prices on Ice Cream Cones, Toppings
Just in time for the official start of summer, Giant Food, LLC and The Stop & Shop Supermarket Co. said last week they were reducing prices on over 40 ice cream cone and topping products, including rainbow sprinkles, sugar cones, butterscotch toppings, and hot fudge sauces.
"Customers can feel good knowing that they can buy their favorite ice cream cones and toppings at Giant at new low prices every day," said Giant Food/Stop & Shop consumer advisor Andrea Astrachan.
The price reductions are a continuation of the company's ongoing "Low Prices Every Day" initiative, which so far has slashed the prices of thousands of other products in the store, among them HBC items, produce, dairy products, cookies and crackers, salad dressings, condiments, frozen foods, water, coffee, juices, cereal, pet foods, paper goods, baby care products, and household supplies.
Giant Food, based in Landover, Md., operates 184 supermarkets in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and the District of Columbia, and employs about 21,000 associates. Included within the 184 stores are 165 full-service pharmacies. Stop & Shop, based in Quincy, Mass., employs over 59,000 associates and operates 378 stores in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, New York and New Jersey. Both banners are owned by Ahold USA.
