GMA to Debut Environmental Sustainability Resource Guide at Conference
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Grocery Manufacturers Association said it will unveil its new GMA Environmental Sustainability Resource Guide at its first-ever GMA Environmental Sustainability Summit for the Food, Beverage and Consumer Products Industry here later this month.
GMA said the resource guide will feature "willing and valuable partners" that industry players can work with to develop relationships and programs to address environmental problems in packaging, energy, and water. The guide will help CPG firms "gain a competitive advantage and meet consumer concerns," said GMA.
The Summit program will be structured around three areas of focus, said GMA: establishing the vision for an environmentally sustainable industry; opportunities and strategies for building successful partnerships with NGOs, suppliers, customers, government, and other thought leaders; and industry best practices in areas such as packaging reduction/alternatives, water conservation, and energy conservation.
GMA will hold the event the January 17-18, at The Ritz-Carlton in Washington, D.C.
