GMA’s Dooley Becomes Head of American Chemistry Council
Grocery Manufacturers Association president and c.e.o. Cal Dooley has been named president and c.e.o. of the American Chemistry Council (ACC). A search for his successor has begun. Dooley took the helm of GMA in January 2007.
“He has provided tremendous leadership to the association and to the food, beverage, and consumer products industry, especially with regard to the recent merger between GMA and the Food Products Association (FPA),” noted Campbell Soup Co. president and c.e.o. Doug Conant, who also serves as GMA chairman. “As a result of the…merger, GMA is now an advocacy, supply chain, and scientific powerhouse on behalf of our industry, and the GMA board of directors has appointed a search committee that is in the process of finding the right person to lead the organization and to build on GMA’s legacy of success.”
Dooley starts his new job Sept. 8.
