Grocery Outlet Opening Store in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
BERKELEY, Calif. -- Extreme-value retailer Grocery Outlet Inc., based here, opens a new store in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by independent operators Steve and Sarena Mayer and the city's chamber of commerce. The grand opening festivities are scheduled to continue throughout the weekend and over the next several weeks, according to the company.
On Saturday, for example consumers will be able to enter a drawing for a new 2006 Ford Focus and a 7.0 cubic feet freezer chest. Additionally, 100 George Foreman Grills will be given away free on that day to the first 100 customers in the door (only one per family, and recipients must be 18 and present a valid picture ID). Other activities include a $1 hot dog and soda sale, with proceeds to benefit North Idaho Christian School; the Spin the Wheel of Bargains game; and free sampling and balloons throughout the day
The store, which is Grocery Outlet's sixth in the state of Idaho, is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.
Grocery Outlet currently operates 124 stores in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, California, Hawaii.
