Hannaford to Helps Buy Computers for New Hampshire School District

LONDONDERRY, N.H. -- The Hannaford Supermarket and Pharmacy here, which opened earlier this year, will present a grant to the town's school district at 10 a.m., Dec. 16 at the store. The $5,000 grant will help underwrite the cost of new computers and related programs to be used in the district's classrooms.

Said store manager Janice Yergeau, "Hannaford recognizes the importance of technology education and is pleased to be able to enhance the offering for Londonderry teachers and students."

Superintendent of schools Nathan Greenberg said that the computers would be of great assistance to the district in meeting its technology instruction goals.

Employing more than 24,000 associates, Delhaize-owned Hannaford Bros. Co., based in Scarborough, Maine, operates 145 supermarkets and food and drug combination stores in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, and Massachusetts under the Hannaford Supermarket and Hannaford Supermarket and Pharmacy names.
