Hannaford to Roll Out Black Elk 'Wines of the World' Program

Hannaford Supermarkets will feature KDM Global Partners, LLC's line of Black Elk wines at its stores as part of a "Wines of the World" program in January 2009, according to KDM, a Philadelphia-based importer and producer of private label wine brands.

Among the wine selections to be offered at Hannaford locations next month are two selections from Argentina (Shiraz and Chardonnay, each from the Mendoza region) and one from Italy (Pinot Grigio, IGT Veneto). The Black Elk line also offers an Argentine Malbec and a Spanish Tempranillo. KDM will introduce additional varietals from other countries to the Black Elk brand lineup.

Black Elk, a multicountry wine brand, features a lineup of premium 100 percent varietal wines, from different countries of origin.

Scarborough, Maine-based Hannaford operates 167 retail stores in the New England states and is a part of the Brussels-based Delhaize Group.
