Harris Teeter Presents Latest Signature Sub Sandwich

Carolina Panthers defensive tackle Kawaan Short has teamed with Harris Teeter on a personally designed Signature Sub Sandwich, "The Short Stack." To mark the item's debut, Short is appearing at the grocer's Morrocroft Village store in Charlotte, N.C., on the afternoon of Nov. 4 to offer samples of the sub and sign autographs for fans.

Retailing for $3.99, The Short Stack features roasted chicken and pastrami topped with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, black olives, mayonnaise, oil, and a dash of salt and pepper on a wheat sub roll. Shoppers can upgrade to a lunch pack, consisting of the sandwich and their choice of cookie, for $4.99.

"The Short Stack" is available in the Fresh Foods Market Sandwich Shop in all Charlotte-area Harris Teeter stores. The final Signature Sub Sandwich is due later this season, according to the Matthews, N.C.-based grocer, which merged with Kroger in January of this year.
