Harris Teeter Serves Up New Signature Sub Sandwich

Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon has teamed up with Harris Teeter to introduce Garcon's custom-designed Signature Sub Sandwich, the "88 Express," named for his jersey number. The sandwich makes its official debut on Oct. 21 at the Spectrum Center Harris Teeter, in Reston, Va., where Garcon will make an appearance and sign autographs.

Retailing for $3.99, the 88 Express features roasted turkey and Virginia ham topped with yellow American cheese, lettuce and honey mustard on a wheat sub roll. For $4.99, customers can purchase a lunch pack consisting of the sandwich and their choice of one Chocolate Chunk, Macadamia Nut, Oatmeal Raisin or Cranberry Nut Cookie.

The 88 Express will be available in the Fresh Foods Market Sandwich Shop, which offers made-to-order sandwiches and wraps, in all Washington, D.C.-area Harris Teeter stores. Additional Signature Sub Sandwiches are slated to roll out this football season.
