Harveys Offers Chance to Meet Country Music Star
Harveys is giving customers the opportunity to meet country music performer Luke Bryan during his “Farm Tour 2012” in October.
Shoppers can enter the contest to meet Bryan by visiting their local Harveys store or going online to the grocer’s website to win VIP tickets to the tour, which is slated to take place at eight select locations in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Florida. Additionally, one Harveys customer will win a Bryan-autographed guitar.
Bryan introduced the Farm Tour concerts in 2009 as a way to give back to local farming communities by honoring the American farmer while providing outdoor entertainment. Proceeds from the concerts will fund a scholarship for a college student from a farming family.
“It’s an honor to give back to our local communities by providing college scholarships,” said Lisa Overman, director of Harveys marketing and advertising at the Southeast regional chain. “Harveys is a devout supporter of local schools in the areas where we operate, and as a Georgia-based company, partnering with the Luke Bryan Farm Tour 2012 is a natural fit for us. Since 1924, Harveys has placed value on local farmers, buying local and the positive economic impact farming has on our local communities.”
Tickets will also be on sale for the Farm Tour 2012 concerts at all Harveys stores.
An affiliate of Salisbury, N.C.-based Delhaize America, Harveys operates 73 stores in Georgia, Florida and South Carolina.
