Hass Avocados from Mexico Rev Up for 'HassCar' Season

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. -- After closing its initial NASCAR sponsorship season with a first place victory in Charlotte, N.C., Hass Avocados from Mexico (M.H.A.I.A.) has renewed its winning sponsorship program for 2007.

The #10 HassCar sponsorship season will take off on Saturday, April 28 at Alabama's renowned Talledega Superspeedway. Celebrity race car driver Dave Blaney, who will continue driving the HassCar, is off to an extremely promising season, currently holding the third place position in the NASCAR Busch Series point standings.

"The NASCAR sponsorship gives us unprecedented exposure through the fastest growing sport in the nation," notes Chris Tully, of Garden City, N.Y.-based Preston Tully Group, the marketing agency of record that created the promotion. "In addition to reaching millions of consumers, the HassCar enables us to offer retailers extremely appealing in-store promotions."

Hass Avocados from Mexico will leverage the NASCAR HassCar sponsorship through an integrated marketing campaign with retail promotional support that includes: local radio advertising to drive consumer traffic, race themed P.O.S. materials, recipes and a trade sweepstakes.
