Hy-Vee Named Official Grocer of Kansas Speedway
Hy-Vee Inc. has announced its partnership with the Kansas Speedway that makes Hy-Vee the speedway's official grocer and "Tailgate Pit Stop."
Randy Edeker, chairman, president and CEO of Hy-Vee, said the company has planned special events throughout the year to promote the Speedway and enhance the fan experience. “We want racing fans to think of Hy-Vee as their one-shop pit stop,” Edeker said. “Our stores will be hosting ticket giveaways and other activities as well as offering great deals on food and beverages for tailgating.”
The 2013 racing season at Kansas Speedway kicks off April 19-21 with the SFP 250 and STP 400. Kansas Speedway season tickets, which are currently on sale, include both NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races (April 21 and Oct. 6), the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race (April 20), and the NASCAR Nationwide Series race (Oct. 5), along with a TrackPass, which allows up-close access to the Kansas National Guard pre-race activities, like NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver introductions and the pre-race concert.
“I’m excited to announce this partnership with Hy-Vee, especially as our race fans start getting ready for the first races of the year at Kansas Speedway,” said Kansas Speedway president Patrick Warren.
Iowa-based Hy-Vee operates 26 full-service supermarkets throughout Kansas and the Kansas City metro area.
