Hy-Vee Store Preps for Kosher Awareness Event
A Hy-Vee store in Davenport, Iowa, will host "A Day of Kosher Awareness" next weekend in tandem with Chabad Lubavitch of the Quad Cities.
To promote consumer awareness of the fastest-growing food segment, Hy-Vee and Chabad Lubavitch are teaming to host a lively educational program complete with displays, videos, kosher recipes, children's contests and kosher food samples. In preparation for Passover, the event will also highlight an expanded section of kosher foods for Passover.
Rabbi Shneur Cadaner, director of Chabad Lubavitch of the Quad Cities, and his fellow Chabad staffers will be on hand at the Hy-Vee store at 53rd St. and Utica Ridge in Davenport on Sunday, March 15 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., to field questions and provide additional information shoppers may have about kosher foods.
"The real benefits of a kosher diet are beyond mere physical health," said Cadaner. "It tunes your mind and your body, clearing your spiritual arteries, putting you in touch with your creative source."
