Idaho Potato Commission Unveils New College Football Video Series
The Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) has unveiled a new series of videos and contests featuring college football sideline reporter Heather Cox, in an effort to promote Idaho potatoes throughout the fall season.
Cox will film 10 short videos during the season from college stadiums nationwide, including on-field interviews and shout-outs from tailgating fans.
"Heather Cox is a great ambassador for the Idaho potato brand," said Frank Muir, president/CEO of Eagle, Idaho-based IPC. "Fall is an extremely important time for Idaho potatoes and Heather's involvement is helping us remind customers to always look for the 'Grown in Idaho' seal when they are purchasing potatoes."
Throughout the promotion, Cox will post photos of her and IPC's Spuddy Buddy character on Facebook. Fans who generate the most creative captions will have the chance to win a Spuddy Buddy plush and cash prizes.
The video and photos are uploaded each Monday afternoon to IPC's website and media channels.
