IRI and Symphony Technology Group to Host Global CPG and Retail Summit
CHICAGO - Information Resources Inc. and Symphony Technology Group have unveiled plans for the "Reinventing CPG 2004 Summit," the industry's first global conference for leaders with vision and passion for reinventing the CPG and retail industries. The Summit will be held at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, Calif., Feb. 22-24, 2004.
"Today's CPG and retail industries are facing many challenges, most importantly, linking real-time consumer and marketplace insight to collaborative execution to achieve faster growth and better profitability," said Romesh Wadhwani, c.e.o. and managing partner of Symphony Technology Group, a leading investor in enterprise software and services companies. "This is a very unique time for these industries to reinvent their approaches to achieving maximum business performance and impact the bottom line. IRI is focused on helping facilitate this exciting transformation, which is why we created Reinventing CPG."
The Summit will feature keynote addresses from some of the industry's most prominent leaders including: Indra Nooyi, president and c.f.o., PepsiCo; Jim Keyes, c.e.o., 7-Eleven; Kerry Pauling, director of information systems, Wal-Mart; and Ralph Scozzafava, v.p. and general manager U.S., Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co.
Among the issues to be addressed: the need for complete real-time visibility into market and consumer buying patterns and responses, the emergence of the consumer-driven supply chain in the real-time CPG enterprise, and new processes and enabling technologies that create maximum business performance.
The summit targets CPG and retail corporate-level and business-unit level executives and senior managers of marketing, merchandising, research, sales, supply chain, and IT.
Over 30 breakout sessions and a Technology Showcase highlighting the latest developments in enterprise solutions, marketplace content, and deeper consumer insights will be featured.
