Jones Becomes Bi-Lo President
Bi-Lo has promoted Anthea Jones to president of the Southeast regional grocery chain, which last year merged with Winn-Dixie Inc. Although most corporate operations have moved to Winn-Dixie headquarters in Jacksonville, Fla., Jones will continue to work from Bi-Lo’s Mauldin, S.C., operations center, according to a published report.
In addition to his new position, Jones will continue as the company’s SVP of operations. He joined Bi-Lo in 1999, holding various positions since that time, after spending 17 years at Salisbury, N.C.-based Food Lion. He’s also the immediate past board chairman (2011-12) of the Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Global Market Development Center (GMDC).
Randall Onstead remains president and CEO of the combined company, Bi-Lo Holdings LLC.
