Kellogg's Encourages Kids to 'Show Your Stripes'
In an effort to celebrate young athletes, Kellogg's Frosted Flakes last week kicked off its summer-long "Show Your Stripes" program with a special Field Day event at New York City's Citi Field.
The event brought together 60 area Little League players, pro football's Victor Cruz and New York Mets' Daniel Murphy and Jon Niese, who led the young athletes through three Show Your Stripes stations and spoke about the importance of team spirit and self-expression.
“In an age when sports is increasingly competitive for kids, Frosted Flakes is celebrating the ‘play’ in playing sports,” said Matt Lindsay, senior director of All Family Brands for Battle Creek, Mich.-based Kellogg’s. “Show Your Stripes is all about keeping sports fun and giving kids the confidence to be themselves when playing their game.”
The campaign, which runs through the end of the Little League season in August, also will include segments on EA Sports "Gamechangers," and a TV spot during the Little League Baseball World Series broadcast.
