Kitchen Play Brings Social Media Fun to 2015 Fresh Summit
For the third consecutive year, Philadelphia-based digital agency Kitchen Play is set to bring fresh voices and new opportunities for social media engagement to the Produce Marketing Associaton’s (PMA) Fresh Summit in Atlanta.
As a 2015 media sponsor of the summit, which will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center Oct. 23-25, Kitchen Play is working directly with PMA to coordinate a team of food bloggers for a weekend of social media engagement and networking with produce brands. Kitchen Play will host its social media scavenger hunt on the Expo floor, while select bloggers will act as interactive ambassadors for various exhibitors.
“Food bloggers are ideal advocates for the produce industry,” said Kitchen Play President Casey Benedict. “Not only can they connect Fresh Summit exhibitors with their engaged audience, but our team’s presence at the Expo gives PMA members a valuable opportunity to see — and directly learn from — social marketing in action.”
In 2014, Kitchen Play partnered 12 bloggers (#TeamFreshSummit) with seven brands. Through several live social media activations, #TeamFreshSummit reached 321,000 accounts and netted more than 6 million impressions around Fresh Summit activities. In addition, the team bloggers created original recipes and blog content featuring the participating brands: Gourmet Garden, Mucci Farms, National Watermelon Promotion Board, Hurst Berry Farms, Dandy Fresh, Nutraleaf and Sun-Maid/Valley Fig Growers.
Kitchen Play said it will offer a limited number of brand partners the opportunity to work with the blogger team in Atlanta this year. The range of activations being offered includes dining events, brand scavenger hunts, on-site ambassadorships and one-on-one social media consultation.
