Knouse Foods Launches Foodservice Web Site

Fruit grower-owned cooperative Knouse Foods said it has launched a new Web site to provide chefs, foodservice operators, and distributors with recipes and menu solutions, trends articles, and product information on its Musselman's, Lucky Leaf, Apple Time and Speas Farm brand items.

Knouse said it developed the new site, www.knousefoodservice.com, to fill a need within the foodservice market for more information related to apple, fruit and related products.

Highlights of the Peach Glen, Pa.-based company's new Web site include:
--A search feature to help chefs and operators find recipes by keyword or day/meal part, and print or save recipes as a Microsoft Word document.
--A dynamic search for products by food category, product brands, or keyword. Section also showcases featured Knouse products and information about the company's superior quality and freshness standards.
--Resources- downloadable point of sale materials, a search tool to help locate a broker in their area and an "e-tour" of Knouse's seven plants and processing facilities.
--All About Apples- trend and product information on apple varieties, health and nutrition and the origin of apples. Foodservice professionals can then better determine which apples best fit their cooking needs.

The new site also offers chefs and foodservice operators' access to Knouse's foodservice e-newsletter sign up as well as corporate news and awards.

The grower cooperative has been recognized 26 times by the leading foodservice companies throughout the United States, as a top supplier of apple-related food products in the industry.
