KSS Releases PriceNet SaaS

9/8/2009
KSS, Inc. has introduced PriceNet SaaS, a hosted version of the Florham Park, N.J.-based company’s fuel price management software for grocery and convenience retailers, giving fuel providers the option to obtain automated fuel price management via a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model.

“With PriceNet SaaS, fuel retailers and marketers can now experience the same benefits and functionality of the site-licensed version of PriceNet, but without expending upfront capital and tying up internal IT resources to maintain the system themselves,” said Bob Stein, president and CEO of KSS.

The application and accompanying customer database and information reside and are managed by KSS on its servers. By using PriceNet SaaS, retailers save on costly upfront investments like servers and other necessary equipment to host the software themselves, and it cuts ongoing costs for IT personnel to maintain the system, according to the vendor.

Users pay a monthly subscription based on the number of users accessing the software during any given month, helping them cut costs by paying only for the amount of service used.

Additionally, KSS offers additional value through its Software Maintenance and Support (SMS) and Model Maintenance and Support (MMS) services, which are included in the subscription to ensure users can fine-tune the system and receive optimal performance.
