Loblaw's SaveEasy Stores Get Makeover
Loblaw Cos., Ltd. is rolling out revamped SaveEasy grocery stores that it said will offer "a shopping experience that focuses on fresh food and personalized customer service."
The remodeled stores under the value format, which now boast "a fresh, modern look," according to Loblaw director, public relations David Primorac, are located in the Atlantic Canadian provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.
Ninety-five percent of the 50 SaveEasy stores were renovated in time to be rolled out on June 21, with the balance of locations currently undergoing renovation, noted Primorac.
The format, which is mainly found in small towns and rural areas, carries fresh produce, bakery offerings, deli, and an assortment of fresh meats, including a hot BBQ chicken program at select locations.
Additionally, everyday grocery essentials, President's Choice private label items, and generic brands are available. The stores' sizes vary according to location.
Loblaw, Canada's largest food distributor and a leading provider of general merchandise, drug store and financial products, employs over 140,000 full-time and part-time employees.
