Lowes Foods to Use NeXpansion's Endless Aisle Technology
NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J., and WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Lowes Foods, an operator of 102 grocery stores in North Carolina and Virginia, has chosen NeXpansion's Endless Aisle technology to expand its product selection.
Offered via a link from the Lowes Foods web site, www.lowesfoods.com, customers will have access to hard-to-find regional, ethnic and specialty foods through Endless Selection, Lowes Foods' custom-branded application of the Endless Aisle technology.
In addition to Endless Selection, Lowes Foods has tapped NeXpansion for its proprietary Call Center Application that will allow shoppers to place hard-to-find orders and special requests over the telephone. NeXpansion will handle the fulfillment of the order and ship it directly to the customer's home. If a Lowes Foods customer is unable to find a specific product through the Endless Selection service, NeXpansion will work to find the item for the customer and provide a response within 10 business days.
"NeXpansion's Endless Aisle technology will enable us to offer Lowes Foods shoppers a larger selection of specialty foods and general merchandise items," said Terry Moore, director of marketing and e-Commerce at Lowes Foods.
NeXpansion, a provider of turnkey technology and fulfillment solutions for manufacturers and retailers, is the founding company of Netgrocer.com.
