Lucky’s Market Continues to Expand Florida
Lucky's Market recently opened a store in Winter Park, Fla.

As part of its ongoing expansion plans, natural and organic food retailer Lucky’s Market has revealed signed leases for additional store locations in Florida. The grocer is slated to open stores in the next 18 to 24 months in Boca Raton (two locations), Kendall, Bradenton, Brandon and Clearwater.

Boulder, Colo.-based Lucky’s also recently said it will open two new stores in its home state, as well locations in the following Florida cities: Oakleaf, Bonita Springs, Cape Coral, Naples, Fort Myers, Port Charlotte, Venice, Dania Beach, downtown Orlando, Vineland, Colonial Landing, Lake Mary, Port St. Lucie, Pensacola and Ormond Beach.

Earlier this month, the grocer debuted two new stores in the Orlando, Fla., area: Hunters Creek and Winter Park. Lucky’s Market currently operates 33 stores, 15 of which are in Florida, as well as in 10 other states.

Started in 2003 by two chefs, Lucky’s unique concept includes a wide variety of specialty foods, including in-house smoked bacon; house-made sausages; fresh seafood; a large selection of fresh, local produce; an in-store bakery; and fresh meats that have never been treated with antibiotics or artificial growth hormones. Customers will also find a department offering ready-to-eat meals made from scratch daily, as well as fresh grab-and-go sushi options, hot ramen bars, and hundreds of cheeses from all over the world. Further, Lucky’s has juice bars, bulk foods, apothecary departments, beer and wine, café areas, and the Sip ‘n Stroll program which enables customers to buy a $2 pint of local beer or a $3 glass of wine to enjoy while they shop.
