Marigold Foods Issues Ice Cream Recall
MINNEAPOLIS - Marigold Foods has recalled half-gallons of Kemps Premium chocolate chip ice cream due to the possible presence of ingredients not listed on carton labels. Marigold, based here, said that the ice cream may contain cashews, filberts, hazelnuts, or almonds -- nuts that are know to cause serious allergic reactions in some people.
This ice cream was distributed through supermarkets in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Michigan. This recall affects only paper half gallons with the code date 196-2-2 printed on the rim of the lid. The UPC bar code for the recalled product is 41483-02819.
