Meijer Joins Wegmans as Alpha Partner of LearnSomething Customer Service Training
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Meijer Inc. will join Wegmans Food Markets as an alpha partner with LearnSomething, Inc., in the development of "Prepare to Sell," an innovative e-learning customer service training program.
"Prepare to Sell" is a next-generation online training program designed specifically to improve the service skills and product knowledge of employees serving retail customers, and to increase consumer basket size. As part of its collaboration as a LearnSomething alpha partner, Meijer will contribute its retail insights on nutrition and other HBC categories.
LearnSomething has secured collaboration with several leading consumer product manufacturers, including Bausch & Lomb, Bayer, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, L'Oreal, McNeil, Procter & Gamble, Revlon, Schering-Plough, and Unilever. As category sponsors, these manufacturers contribute subject matter expertise and participate on product category advisory committees.
The "Prepare to Sell" suite provides retail employees with three customer service components: Customer Interaction Skills -- greeting customers to completing the interaction; Product Category Knowledge -- building product solutions for customer needs; and a Product Information Database -- viewing product information and images selected by retailers from the Hamacher Research Group to promote new, seasonal, and bestseller items.
"'Prepare to Sell' will transform customer service in the food and drug industry by dramatically improving the in-store experience of consumers in the grocery and pharmacy aisles, and providing consumers with total solutions for their problem states," said LearnSomething c.e.o. Steve Roden. "We are delighted with the contributions of our Alpha Partners toward the overall excellence of the 'Prepare to Sell' program."
LearnSomething, Inc., a leading provider of e-learning solutions for the food, drug, and healthcare industries, offers products and services to help companies meet training needs quickly and effectively through flexible online and CD-ROM based training programs.
