MountainKing Potato Displays Aim to Boost Impulse Sales at Retail
The MountainKing Potatoes brand has introduced a series of high-graphic display units in an effort to help retailers further boost impulse sales and reduce in-store labor.
Designed for high-volume promotions, the company's new 13-square-foot fresh bin can hold 100/10# bags, 125/8# bags or 200/5# bags, according to the company.
MountainKing’s 40-inch by 24-inch half-pallet grill bin mimics the look of a large, stainless steel backyard grill. Best displayed near the meat case, the grill bin can hold 84/5# bags, 130/3# bags or 100 tray packs. The grill bin is particularly effective in southern and western areas where grilling is a year-round activity, the company said.
The company's tater town stack boxes featuring MountainKing’s steak house bakers are well suited for secondary display locations and lower volume stores. Each stack holds 64/3# bags, 96 Roaster bags or 96 tray packs.
MountainKing has also made available new high-graphic display wraps for promoting the paring of potatoes with seafood and other dishes. Four new wraps are available for steak house roasters, steak house bakers, crawfish reds and seafood market reds.
“We’ve created a look that will certainly inspire creative retailer displays,” says John Pope, MountainKing’s VP sales and marketing. “We’re excited to see how shoppers react.”
