Nash Finch Donates Two Truckloads of Water for Sandbag Volunteers
Nash Finch Co. donated two truckloads -- or more than 72,000 bottles -- of its private brand Our Family water to the countless volunteers working in Fargo, N.D., and Moorhead, Minn. on sandbagging efforts to stave off Red River flooding.
“When we heard about the selfless efforts of volunteers working to sandbag in the Fargo-Moorhead area, we knew we had to help,” said Nash Finch CEO Alec Covington. “Our thoughts go out to all residents and volunteers preparing for the floodwaters.”
In addition to the donation of water to the American Red Cross and Salvation Army, Nash Finch is also donating Our Family Bleach to assist with any cleanup efforts.
Minneapolis-based Nash Finch serves independent retailers and military commissaries in 31 states, the District of Columbia, Europe, Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Azores and Egypt. The company also owns and operates a base of retail supermarkets under the Econofoods, Family Thrift Center, Avanza and Sun Mart banners.
