NGA Adds Director of Member Services
The National Grocers Association (NGA) has named Tom Dozier to the newly created position of director of member services.
Dozier joins Arlington, Va.-based NGA with 13 years of experience managing events and trade shows, and developing member engagement initiatives. His last position was meetings manager at the National Auto Auction Association, in which he handled logistical planning and execution of annual conventions, trade shows, bimonthly webinars and quarterly training classes.
"Tom brings extensive association knowledge, and a fresh perspective that will help NGA to expand current member programs and resources," said NGA VP of Operations Matthew R. Ott.
In his new role, Dozier will lead the continued development, expansion and administration of NGA’s retail and wholesale member service programs, including membership recruitment and retention initiatives. He will also serve as the main contact on all issues related to membership, and oversee the development, implementation and marketing of comprehensive member recruitment initiatives, retention strategies and member programs for the trade organization.
NGA represents the retail and wholesale grocers that make up the independent sector of the food distribution industry. Members include retail and wholesale grocers, state grocers associations, as well as manufacturers and service suppliers.
