Online Grocery Alliance to Launch
The Online Grocery Alliance (OGA) will make its debut Sept. 19 as the first and only dedicated forum for grocers to share with and learn from their peers in the e-commerce realm.
Richard Demb, CEO of Chicago-based StorePower, the software company hosting the alliance, noted, “The OGA will regularly host industry experts, facilitate Q&A within the group, and offer data and tools to enable grocery execs to make smarter and more profitable decisions around their online channels.”
The alliance’s first interview will be with industry guru Scott DeGraeve. “Scott has spent the past 20 years growing online grocery, mostly with Peapod, and he will be sharing tactical details, including the ideal SKU depth and target out-of-stock levels, with the alliance members,” said Demb. “Scott will then be available to answer questions and participate in conversation with members from the 19th to the 26th.”
To maintain focus on how they can grow online, the alliance is strictly limited to grocery executives, with no solicitations from vendors.
Those interested in joining the OGA can apply via the organization’s LinkedIn group.
